you'll want to use the gas when welding aluminumn. i've never worked with it personally but that's my understanding with using gas. all my work has been steel. working on some ideas for headers, not for the Z though. however, i do have an idea that "might" fix the header cracking problem we've had on our cars but i just need to start working on it... and owning a Z might help too. there's a lot of tips and tricks online on how to mig weld. watch the video that came with the welder. it's cheezy, but helpful. good luck, have fun, and practice, practice, practice.
